These, you may position next to or below the main map. The picture shows an example of Aaron Foster's map artwork. Your map will have different license plates. Each piece is handmade. DETAILS WOOD TYPE . . . . Rough cedar. WEIGHT . . . . About 54 lbs. WOOD DIMENSIONS . . . . This piece measures 62 x 40 inches. The horizontal wood is half an inch thick. The vertical boards holding the piece together are also half an inch thick, so the piece sits about 1/2 inch off the wall. WOOD TREATMENT . . . . The wood is first painted black. After drying, a second coat of paint is applied to create a barn red color. The wood is then hand-sanded to let some of the black color show through on the wood. The next step is to wax the wood, which softens the color and results in an aged look. Most customers choose the barn red color, as shown above. MOUNTING . . . . Two "D" rings attached to the backside of the map for hanging on a wall. DELIVERY TIME . . . . Each piece is shipped approximately 2 weeks from when your order is received.
